    Add this into the Custom CSS box located in your Salient Options panel :
    p.wp-caption-text {
    font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif;
    color: #676767;
    font-size:25px !important;
}

    Dear Nectar,

    On my site www.phtfr.com i added the css from above to add my first caption to a test-image on my homepage.

    did not work, just got a real cute border... :)

    I will have many many images.... so i would love to learn how to add captions.

    Just adding a caption text to the image in the media library and then add a class to the image is not the whole process, i think? Sorry for such a trivial question, but i would appreciate it greatly!

    Hey Lesley!

    That caption is only available when you embed an image using the "Add Media" button . On your site you are using the Visual Composer Image element so it wont work in that.

    Hi, is there a way to edit the appearance of the captions also? I'd like it to just be a simple text underneath the image, without all of the formatting on it.
