I'm using the Post Grid to display our latest projects. We wanted 12 projects on landing, with the 'Load button' option activated to show the rest (total 19 projects).
Unfortunately though, the load more button just loads the next projects randomly so these can be duplicates of those on the page. Rather than just the remaining 7 projects?
Is there any way around this? It works okay if we set the page to show all 19.
Hi, So I have just gone through a test with ALL plugins deactivated. Going through one-by-one (until the portfolio function returned, as this didn't load with Salient Core turned off), but this is exactly the same. I have tried clearing the cache and on a different machine, but it is still showing duplicate items.
By default there's no functionality built-into WordPress to ensure that pagination won't simply use the random order each time (thus pulling duplicates).

Hey Again,
Make sure the "Post Offset" field in the Post Grid Settings is empty and check.
Thanks

Hi - I checked this. The Post Offset was already empty. I tried changing it to "0" but I still get the duplicate projects?
Hi There,
Please check for plugin conflicts by deactivating the third party plugins then reactivate them back one by one to see the one that causes issues.
Thanks.

I'm afraid I still get the same issues. I have cleared the cache, and also purged Varnish on the server? Does it look to be working correctly for you?
Hey Again,
It seems to be only occurring when the "Random" Order is selected. I just changed it and its working correctly now: https://www.designedge.co.uk/wp-admin/post.php?vc_action=vc_inline&post_id=3531&post_type=page .
Thanks

A shame we can't have the random ordering and load more. Is it a bug that might be fixed, or just the way that it's set up?
It seems like a new bug, escalating this to the developer to check if a quick fix is available.

Hey melsaunders,
By default there's no functionality built-into WordPress to ensure that pagination won't simply use the random order each time (thus pulling duplicates).
However, I've created a workaround which will be included in the next update. If you'd like immediate access you can download a beta version from here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6t047o9attcj92f/salient.zip?dl=0
Once you've updated, remember to also update the included Salient Core plugin to get the fix.
Kind regards,
