    Hi There,

    Thanks for choosing Salient.

Please head to Salient pre-built templates on Salient studio and choose among the templates https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/salient-studio/.

    Thanks.

    Hello Judith,

Indeed, I could do that. However

    1) Where are the pre-made post single templates?

    2) How can I create my own post single template?

    Hi there,

    1) The templates are located in the salient core plugin that required for the theme to run. To be precise they are in

    wp-content \ salient-core \ includes \ salient-studio-templates.php

We would recommend not to edit those files.

    2) About adding you own what you can do is edit a post then click on my templates on the top and save it as a new template. See attached screenshot.

    Cheers.

[I cannot believe that you offer only one single-post template - that would truly be WordPress 1995]

Adding my own template sounds good. Two questions:

    1. How can I populate the dynamic data like featured image and post content?
    2. How to do I apply my template to all single posts?

    Thank you

    Hi there,

Am not sure what you mean by this

"[I cannot believe that you offer only one single-post template - that would truly be WordPress 1995]"

    1) Templates do not have that functionality. When you save a template you would need to then add it to a second page \ post then change the items you want once added to a page.

    2) A global section would be a better items to use for this. The global item is like a section you can add to multiple locations. There is more details on this here https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/page-builder-global-sections/

Templates are really designed to create general layout of posts or pages quickly.
    Thanks.

[So, it is true, in the past 9 years you have created a theme that is good in so many ways, but you have not been able to offer more than one post single template!]

Please be so kind a let me know how I call dymanic data (featured image & post content) into a new Global Section. And how I can apply a Global Section to be used for all posts.

    Thank you

    Hi there,

Global section do not have that capability you are asking of.

The article we linked to highlights the workings of the global section.
If you need something more dynamic then you might want to use a plugin for that introduces such functionality to your wordpress site.

    Hope this clears things up.
