    Hi there,

I've been using Salient for a while now and it always performed fine. However since 2 months I've got this problem that once a week (at a random moment) my whole stylesheet is messed up. The layout of my homepage is all over the place.

The fix is simple: clear all cache in W3 total cache.

However I need to constantly monitor my site now, which is not good.

I'm using the all the necessary Salient plugins plus:

    • W3 total cache
    • Smush
    • Yoast
    • Wordfence

And updated Salient, which did not fix the problem.

    Hopefully you can.

    Thanks in advance.

    Koen

    Hey Again,

Please check your Expire Headers in the Caching Plugin Settings to see if it makes a difference.

    Thanks

Unfortunately, this setting was checked already: https://www.screencast.com/t/u8cNlQObl ..

    Any other ideas?

Escalating this to the developer for further response as I am out of ideas.

    Thanks

    Hey Koen,

If your content is displaying as unstyled or with incorrect CSS, the root issue is the minified file that your caching plugin creates. It could be that somehow the minification option within asset cleanup + the caching of W3 are causing this intermittent issue. I would also create a thread on the asset cleanups forum here:  https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wp-asset-clean-up/ as others have encountered the same issue with certain plugin combinations: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/asset-cleanup-breaks-my-website-every-few-days/

In the meantime, you could always disable asset cleanup to ensure the site renders correctly.

    Hi,

I've disabled asset cleanup plugin. Going to monitor if the issue pops up again. Thanks for now!
