    Hi when I rename the child theme without the word salient in there, the theme breaks. Is there a way we can rename it without the Salient name in there?

    Thank you but this isn't quite what I mean, when I change the name using the theme editor to anything that doesn't contain the word salient, it breaks the editor.

    Yes, that's correct, as the styling needs the salient keyword for it to apply. However, it should not cause any issues regarding facility.
