    Hello,

I'm new to using your theme and having a hard time figuring out how to change the background hero image or video on a template. It's not very intuitive like the rest of the functions are.

If I import/add a template, what's the easiest way to add/delete/edit the hero image or video? Also, if I'm not using a template, what's the best way to create that from scratch?

Also, on another topic, is it possible to build a site using the Salient theme on a local environment? I'm thinking to set up LocalWP along with WP Engine. After that is set up and the dev site is copied to Local, can I build my dev site on Salient? If so, are there any tips you can share?

    Thanks!!!

    Hi Judith,

Thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate it! However, I may not have communicated properly what I was trying to do. I want to change the image that comes embedded into any or all of the templates. I believe your instruction is excellent, however it only changes the header image, not the image that is embedded into the template. As an example, please see my attachment. In this attachment, you can see that I've been able to change the header image (as per your instructions), but doing so did not change the embedded image from the template. I tried this on at least 5 different templates, but I can't figure out how to swap out the default template image with my own one, and that is important.

    Please advise.

Hi Judith. Thanks for the hint. Mine was actually in Inner Column Settings  > Background ... here is a screen shot for anyone else that might be looking for similar information ...

    Thanks again!
