    I am wondering where the page layout is set for the category archive pages.

    firstly I wanted to know what this layout is. but also I wanted to change it from full width to contained.

    You can change it in the Salient Theme Options Panel ->Blog Section.

    I can't find anywhere that you can set the archive look feel
