    First, I could not be happier with the theme! you are doing an amazing job! 

    Second, I am building a one page layout, but wish to have the blog section its own page, but when navigating back from the blog the links break. How can I accomplish this?

    Try using this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/menu-swapper/ or similar.
