Achieving a higher mobile page speed score requires calculated effort. It’s an intentionally difficult test to score high on, due to the throttled connection speeds it runs on. That being said, the next release of Salient will be bringing new performance features to optimize for the mobile speed test. In the meantime, you could make use of the newer free performance plugin from Automatic: https://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack-boost/ - it was designed to optimize mobile page speed scoring.
Desktop score is a 94 but my mobile score is 36.

My speed went from 36 to 37. I'm not looking to get to 100 but I feel like there is a ton of room for improvement here.
