I can't get the nectar slider to actually have a flexible image height.  Clicking the checkbox doesn't seem to do anything.  What am I doing wrong here?

For what it's worth, it doesn't make sense to input an image height while at the same time be able to choose a flexible image height.  It should be one or the other but not both.  They're mutually exclusive notions.

    Hey!

Please try using the Flexible Slider Height option in Nectar Slider.

Also when using the flexible slider height option you have to enter the slider height based on how big your images would be at 1600px width - this will ensure the scaling is perfect with no clipping. To find the correct height for your images use this: http://andrew.hedges.name/experiments/aspect_rati... . The default width for images is 1600px so for example a image that is 1904 x 738px would be converted to 1600 x 620px if scaled down. Therefore slider height would be set to 620 px .

The flexible slider height option makes the Nectar Slider respond perfectly to ensure there's no clipping on any view - leaving it off will cause the height of the slider to change only once per every viewport change (desktop, ipad, mobile) and clip variously between them.

    Thanks

So although the Image Size field suggests I should be entering a height and width, I'm actually only supposed to input the height of the image?

Additionally, when I'm trying to use a Nectar slider with three differently sized images, for example, am I entering each of their heights (like 650, 470, 780) or just the height of the first image?  Please let me know.

    Thanks!

I think there's some disconnect here.  Let me completely describe what I'm attempting to accomplish and perhaps someone can offer a suggestion.

I am attempting to input a Nectar Slider on a portfolio page that features three images, each with different height measurements.  One is 2695 pixels tall, the second is 2000 pixels tall, and the third is 830 pixels tall.  I have checked the "Flexible Slider Height" checkbox and my assumption is that in doing so, the Nectar Slider's height will change to accommodate the varying heights of the images it is displaying.

I'm not sure what height measurement I should be entering in the "Image Size" field because the slider contains three images and the field asks for only a single image's dimensions.

    • I have attempted inputting 4728 (the first image's height at a width of 1600) into the Image Size field and that doesn't work.  None of the images fit correctly.
    • I have attempted inputting 1600x4728 (the first image's height and width at a width of 1600) into the image size field and that doesn't work.  None of the images fit correctly.
    • I have attempted inputting 4728, 3509, 1456 (the height of each of the three images at 1600) into the image size field and that doesn't work.  None of the images fit correctly.

Whatever info you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Another thing to note, regardless of what values I input in the "Image Size" text box, the Nectar Slider's height never changes based on the images within.

    Hey Eric!

The Slider height does not change like that. IF you do want a varying height slider try using the Image Gallery element , Basic Slider mode as it changes height according to the image.

    Thanks
