Why has the option to turn galleries into simple sliders dissappeared from the project configuration options? It still exists in my older projects. When I, however, create a new project the option has dissappeared. Am I missing something?
It was removed intentionally as the Image gallery Page element was added which gives more flexibility. If you want to use it on new posts as well be sure to show that option in the top screen options panel in the Dashboard.
Thanks for the response. I am not following you, however.
When I looked through the screen options panel in the dashboard, I could not find any options for the "image gallery page." I looked through the screen options for Posts, Portfolio, and Pages without seeing it. Searching through the version change notes did not help me find any more information either.
Now I see it. I never use the visual editor, so it seems like a bit of a run around to get to the options; however, I do appreciate the new flexibility. Thanks for pointing the way.
