Portfolio Categories Not Displaying

I've created a few portfolio items and created portfolio categories corresponding to years 2000-2013. 2000 is the only category that is appearing on the Portfolio landing page (renamed with the slug "exhibits"). If I assign a portfolio item to 2000, it appears on the page. If I reassign it to any other year, it doesn't display. And only the category 2000 appears along with "All" in the select menu filter.

Please let me know if I can provide any additional info to help troubleshoot.

    Hey Kim!

Seems like a slug issue can you try prefixing the name like year2000 , year2013 instead of just using the number.

    Thanks

Hey Tahir.  Thanks for the reply!  I updated the category names and slugs, but now there are no portfolio items appearing:

I went to general settings and saved the Permalinks page, just in case.

Please see screengrab of portfolio categories, confirming that they are assigned to a few portfolio items.

Thats weird, can you try deactivating all plugins  and then switch to default theme and then back to salient . Also try changing permalinks again.

    Thanks

I did all of the above, and still nothing showing up on my portfolio screen.

    1. Disabled all plug ins
    2. Set theme to 2014
    3. Reset Permalinks to default
    4. Selected Salient Child as theme
    5. Tested, and no results
    6. Re-enabled plugins one-at-a-time, and no results.

Any other ideas what I can do?  Is there anything I need to do with the Page that I created and set to Portfolio template type (screenshot attached)?

Looks like this is wrapped up now.  In the Display Settings on the Page, I had only selected "All", but realized that I also needed to select each category name individually.  Everything is working as expected now.  Thanks!
