    Although it says under Salient/Header Navigation/Logo & General Styling that the theme default is for the header to be sticky (with a checkbox to "undo" this feature), my header area is not staying visible when scrolling down the page. 

    Can you help me figure out why?

    Hey Again,

    Try adjusting the "Animation Effects" in the Salient Theme Options Panel -> Header Navigation Section:
