While working on my header settings, I can see that my changes are not taken into account while updating the page. The header finally gets updated after a while, but I do not know what triggers the appearance change.

For example, I changed the background opacity from 20% to 80%. Two days later, the opacity still appears to be 20% on my preview while the settings say 80%. What should I do to make these changes appear?
