Hi we use SalientVersion: 8.5.4. We need to update PHP and WordPress - what versions of PHP and WordPress are compatible with our current version of Salient? thanks

I am not a technical person so my comments here may not be technically correct We implemented this theme about six or seven years ago and had hired a word press person to customize the theme. We’ve not done any theme updates since the site was implemented 6-7 years ago. There is a push to move to PHP 8 as well as the latest WordPress version. I am concerned that if we implement the latest version of salient that the customizations that occurred a number of years ago will not simply move across. Can you recommend a resource that could handle that theme update to ensure that the customizations carried forward? Thank you

Thanks for choosing Salient.
You can try Wordpress version 3.6 and use PHP version 5.
However we'd really recommend updating as this will help even with any security issues.
