    How do you remove the author icon from a salient WordPress post?  

    Firstly I don't know how to put a picture on the icon (currently it is blank) and it has a link on it that I don't know where it is set.  I would therefore prefer just to delete it.

    This is about removing the author icon in blog posts, see attachment.

    Hi stotty1966,

    Head over to Settings > Discussions and under the Avatars section, disable the Show Avatars checkbox and save the changes.

    If that does not work as you want, please share your URL so we can look into this for you.
