Some builder elements don't seem to recognize the Yoast readability. For example using the Custom Heading or Split Line Heading, it's throwing a "Subheading Distribution" error. Maybe this is related to using an element dropdown tag, as opposed to a normal text field? There may be some other elements that aren't registering correctly as well. I have not tested them all.

Another function available with Yoast SEO is the ability to highlight results in the text. I've attached a "transition words" image to show what I'm referring to. Is there any chance of getting this to work with WPBakery? The Yoast SEO plugin is one of the essential plugins I use (and most likely many other web devs). It's extremely helpful is writing good content that can be found by Google. Being able to use the highlight text feature would really be helpful.

    Hey mrittman!

    1. I'll be adding the needed fix for the split line heading/custom heading element into the next release of the page builder. It seems in recent versions of Yoast, the original logic is failing that was in place to inform Yoast about heading tags that are created through shortcode attributes. I can provide a pre-release copy for you with that change here if desired.

    2. Unfortunately, I don't think there's much we can do from our end to make the highlighting show within the page builder. Digging into their code, they're only taking TinyMCE and the Block editor (Gutenberg) into consideration with that feature. Since the highlighting is handled from the custom markup that Yoast is injecting, they would also need to loop through the content within WPBakery to make that color change.

While it's not ideal, you can switch to the classic mode when you need to reference those highlights as they will be visible there.

Thanks so much for your reply. I just found out that switching to Classic mode does in fact highlight the text, so if anything this will do!

Thank you for the fix regarding the spline line heading/custom heading! No need for the pre-release copy. I'll just grab it when released :)
