I got excited about the dummy data. I first imported "Modern Creative" and then thought I'd like to see what "Ascend" looked like, so i repeated the process. I figured that the dummy xml would just re-write itself.... but now when I preview, my menu has some pages double-up: specifically Home, Portfolio, Features and Blog.

I figured that the dummy xml would just re-write itself.... but now when I preview, my menu has some pages double-up: specifically Home, Portfolio, Features and Blog.
Can I fix this? Can I un-install the .xml?

No i am afraid you will have to delete the unwanted menus from Appearance -> Menu in the Dashboard.
