I feel like I've been duped. It's kind of my fault too, but the GTMetrix report that you guys reference in the ThemeForest description is true, but most people are not using that specific template, so I think that is a bit misleading. I bought the theme based on that report. But now I've compared the results of the template that I do use, and the difference is huge. See below. I would suggest you remove the GTMetrix report in the description or list a score for every template.
Thanks for writing in, I will confirm with the developer why that particular demo is not optimized yet.
Regarding your claim about WP rocket or SG Optimizer that could be true due to your hosting provider not allowing such plugins and is not related to Salient.
We have had multiple users use such plugins and I have personally used them over the past 8 years of providing Salient Theme Support.
We do not keep the performance settings or minification active on all demos for our own convenience -- it makes updating the live server easier so that we can constantly test changes. However, even without them enabled, I'm unsure how you captured that low score on the eCommerce Ultimate demo.
For my own site, I have tried so many things like better hosting, different caching plugins, different image optimizers, etc. but I can't seem to get it over 50.
From your report, the eCommerce ultimate demo is stating that it took 7.9s for the first paint, which is clearly not reflective of reality. There must have been a server hiccup when that test was recorded. I'm sure if you run the test again, you won't see those results for https://themenectar.com/salient/ecommerce-ultimate

In regards to your site, I would need to see that URL in order to provide helpful advice tailored to your own setup.
Yes, I understand, but as you can see, the report was generated yesterday. Here is my site: https://hollerbrand.com/. Like I said, I have tried many things but have had no luck improving the performance.
Looks like your score is being dragged down primarily because of 2 aspects.
1. The response time of your actual server (before any theme assets get loaded).
Without knowing your server specs it's hard to say what you should change specifically, but your server is struggling to render pages from WordPress at a consistent performant speed. Without upgrading your server, I would suggest at least upgrading your PHP to v8 (if you're not already using that) and using a plugin to add page caching to reduce your server load. If you'd like to provide an admin account, I'd be glad to check further on that for you.
2. There are some images you've uploaded that are not web ready i.e. they have not been compressed and are way too large. Page speed tests will give you big penalties for stuff like that.
The image highlighted above should be changed to a .jpg or .webp and the size should be kept under 300kb (currently 2.2mb). Even having a single image uncompressed at that large of size could be 10/20 points off of your score. Here's another one of your pages without any image sizing issues: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/hollerbrand.com/pviOYTPF/
I believe it's been narrowed down to the plugin "Booster Plus for WooCommerce". With that plugin disabled, the WordPress errors have gone away, and I've noticed a significant performance improvement from your site in the admin and frontend. GTmetrix also seems to verify the same: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/staging2.hollerbrand.com/10zY1LZT/

The theme is also not compatible with caching plugins like WP Rocket or SG Optimizer from Siteground.

Here's the live link to the test with minification enabled again and lazy loading active: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/themenectar.com/X2oSdlMB/
Can you please provide the actual link to your GTMetrix report so I can take a look?
Kind regards
