Using Visual composer in Extra Content portfolio field

Visual composer does not seem to be enabled on the Extra Content section of the portfolio (only for the sidebar content) and yet this is the area where my client needs greater control over layout.

Is there a way to enable it for Extra Content?

If there is not then we will have to use standard posts. If we have to do this then is there a way to hide the PORTFOLIO menu item in the side menu to prevent them using it in error?

    Many thanks

    Martin

Hey Martin, that should be the only area where it is enabled in the portfolio project edit page screen. Could you kindly allow me to log in so I can see why it's not for you?

    Cheers

The reason it's not display in the Salient defined area is because you're using the raw version of the plugin which doesn't have that custom logic in it to switch the location. If you disable that plugin for the built in VC it'll be active there

When you say the "raw" version do you actually mean the up-to-date, stand-alone version from WP-bakery that I purchased from ThemeForest?

(We're only running that because a number of the plugins will not run on the older Salient version.)

Is there a way that we can add the customization so that we can edit the "extra content" and the Left, Right, Centre, alignment for the header images?

    Many thanks

Right now it would take some custom development but I intend on upgrading the Salient VC in the next few releases
