I have a website landing page with many video backgrounds / videos.  In an attempt to speed up page loading, I was trying to use a service like bunny stream or cloudflare to host my videos. I tried youtube but it does not support mobile devices. I have also tried compressing videos and changing formats etc...I want to see if using a cdn to host my video and pictures , would provide the fastest loading solution.

With that said, if i were to create a row in salient with a video background, how would I link the video to my cdn.  My landing page can be used as an example.

I may not be using the correct terminology. I am new to this. Any support or direction is much appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Mark,

    Thanks for writing to us.

Even though this is not a Salient functionality, I would suggest your refer to this article :https://wordpress.org/support/topic/store-videos-in-new-site-bunny-cdn/.

    Thanks.

    Hi Judith,

So after looking into what you sent I did not describe my issue properly.  I was saying Host my files but i should of said "streaming" my files.Totally my mistake..

So what I actually meant was the Bunny Stream function.. Kinda like a youtube link.. https://iframe.mediadelivery.net/play/121968/8fd6a61d-ce27-4e00-8acc-03a0f8b7a703

So within Salient ,all I want to do is Create a row with a full screen video background using https://iframe.mediadelivery.net/play/121968/8fd6a61d-ce27-4e00-8acc-03a0f8b7a703 as the video source

If i could get guidance with that I could then apply that knowledge to the other videos on the landing page. Anything I can provide for your assistance please let me know. Thank You Kindly

    Hi Mark,

I am afraid you can only add a self hosted video in the sliders and so this means you have to first upload the video in your media library then add it there.

    Thanks.

So just to be clear there is no custom css that could be written that could allow me to use a stream url as my row's video background.. Like how you have a youtube option..

If a am understanding correct and that is not possible at all.. Is there any chance of implementing streaming url's (other then youtube) in future salient update?  Is this request uncommon?

    Hi Mark,

We don't have this feature at the moment, please allow us to add this on our wishlist to help us improve on coming updates.

    Thanks.
