We are using the custom header colour scheme under Admin > Salient > Header and we have set the drop down menu font and background colours and their respective hover colours but when you are on a MAIN menu page, it's sub-menu does not use the custom colours - I am note sure what it is using.
For example, when you first got to http://kitchenmatic.co.uk you will see that the kitchens sub-menu has a black background with red text and on rollover it has a grey background with cyan text.
However if you click on kitchens then the sub menu has a grey background with cyan text an on rollover it stays the same.
How can we get the sub-menu of the page we are on to work in the same was as the sub menu of pages that you are not on.
All of the links in your submenu are getting the active class when on the page since they are all anchor links within the same page - try changing the links to be custom menu items with an aboslute URL such as
I have just changed the main kitchens link to an absolute URL and also it's 3 sub-menu links (classic, high gloss, & solid wood) to absolute URLs but that does not seem to have made any difference.
It seems you didn't have the "One Page Scroll Support" active in your general settings tab - I activated that and now the active classes seem to be working as intended

Hey Bharat!
All of the links in your submenu are getting the active class when on the page since they are all anchor links within the same page - try changing the links to be custom menu items with an aboslute URL such as
http://kitchenmatic.co.uk/kitchens/#high-gloss-kitchens
instead of
/kitchens/#high-gloss-kitchens
Cheers
Hello,
I have just changed the main kitchens link to an absolute URL and also it's 3 sub-menu links (classic, high gloss, & solid wood) to absolute URLs but that does not seem to have made any difference.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Bharat
Any chance you could provide admin credentials so I could check on that for you?
Hey again Bharat! Sorry for the delay - could you kindly update to the latest release before I dig into making any mods so they won't be lost?
Cheers
Hi,
The Wordpress core, Plugins and Salient theme have now been upgraded.
You can now go in an "dig into" - please let me know what mods you make.
Thank you and happy new year.
Bharat
Hey Bharat,
It seems you didn't have the "One Page Scroll Support" active in your general settings tab - I activated that and now the active classes seem to be working as intended
Cheers
Hi,
Thank you for looking into it but I still didn't see the menu class working so I tried another browser.
It seems not to work in Chrome but it does in Firefox and Internet Explorer.
Can you suggest a workaround for Chrome?
Thank you.
Hello,
Any suggestions for compatibility with chrome would be appreciated.
Thank you.
Hey Bharat, sorry for the delay!
I added a small fix into the file - do you see it behaving correctly now?
Cheers
Brilliant and thank you very much - the menu mow works in Chrome as well.
Can you let me know where the modifications have been made so that I can manage updates.
Thank you,
Bharat
The updates were made in the init.js file located in the js folder and will be included in the next update :)
Cheers
Thank you - I will keep an eye out on the next update.
And I must congratulate you on your exceptional support and staying with me on resolving the issues.
