Hello. I am using a slider on portfolio pages - not full width. All my images are the same pixel height [800] but some are naturally portrait, some are landscape. The landscape works great, but the portrait prioritises the width which means the portrait images crop. Is there any way for the dimensions to be maintained like on my other site http://castarchitecture.ie/?project=front-extensio...
You see how the vertical images adjust and there is a white area around them?
If I fix this I will be so happy! Its a great theme.
I am afraid Salient uses a standard image size for portfolios so you have to respect that. You can find more info on this in the userguide: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient.pdf .
Yes, I get the fact that there are standard sizes for folio. I have looked at the user guide.
I think I do "respect" your theme but I am still not clear if I can overcome what I think is an issue with the slider.
Do I need to make a portrait image the same width as a landscape image in some other programme and then upload that so all images are the same when going through the slider? Is there another way to do it? What I would like to happen makes sense....
Can you please help? I can obviously read the PDF myself and have done so, but my issue is not dealt with in there?
I am facing the same issue. I would like to have a fullwidth and responsive portfolio with a different number of thumbnails depending on the device: - 2 thumbnails for smartphones - portrait viewing - 3 thumbnails for smartphone - landscape viewing - 4 thumbnails for tablets - 5 thumbnails for desktops - 6 thumbnails for large screen desktops
Can you please forward me the code? Thanks! www.graffitinerary.com
I believe you are asking about something different. I am afraid we dont have such fine grain control over the portfolio columns so you will likely have to hire a freelancer to make the edits.

Hi Tahir
In the end I simply made files in indesign and imported them to the website.
Seemed faster. I would suggest though this gets added to an update rather than it being a hack? thanks
