Just started with Salient and am new to Wordpress. I'm trying to find where I can set the site color scheme. I've been able to do that in other themes.
I can change Accent colors under Salient - Accent Colors. However, I cannot find where global color scheme can be entered. Nor can I figure out how to change the row of colors at the bottom of the color picker that Salient uses for accent colors, etc.
This seems a very basic thing so I must be completely missing it somewhere. It's hard to believe I have to modify the colors every time I use a Salient Template, etc.
Unfortunately, that is currently not possible and will require customization that falls beyond the scope of our support. You will have to change the accent colors manually.
Thank you again. I appreciate the prompt response!
I would recommend a tab be added to Settings where site-wide/theme-wide colors can be defined in one place as is often found under Appearance-Customize in the Dashboard.
Hello. I agree with lrjohnson5: inexplicably, Salient lacks two basic and fundamental features (that other competitors have).
A centralized control of colors using variables, so that editing an accent color code would automatically update all instances of that color, sitewide.
The color pickers shown in various sections of Salient options should feature the custom accent colors, not random swatches.
These would be two game-changing features that I think a vast majority of users would appreciate.

Hello there,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Accent colors are used as global colors which you can pick between them on Salient Visual Composer elements. You can see more on this in our guide https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/theme-options/accent-colors/.
You can set your global site text and background colors in the general settings.
If you need to change specific colors, please let us know so we can add custom CSS for you.
I hope that helps.
Kind regards,
Thank you. And how can I change the 'default' color selections at the bottom of the color picker?

Also please note that you can add new theme colors in your theme in our guide here https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/add-new-theme-colors/.
