I am trying to add a simple portfolio item so that it shows up in my portfolio and when I click on "More Details" it goes to a 404 Page when previewing the actual post as well as when it's published. I have assigned the post to a project category and even added attributes but it will not display.
Check out the bottom two portfolio items at http://jamescarveronline.com/projects titled "American Negro Hero" and "See What I Did There?" and you will get a 404 error page. The other examples are linking to actual webpages.
Try going to Settings/Permalinks, changing to another permalink structure, and back to "post name," and Pressing the Save Button. That should fix the 404 error.
That worked exactly like you said....how'd you know that was probably the issue? Just curious, because I've had that issue with another site of mine in the past and took me forever to figure out what the issue was.
