Just became aware that people who are not logged in have a very broken site to look at. Many images, text and features are missing resulting in fully or partially blank pages, my small slide-in right side menu operated by the 3 line icon upper right is not working, drop down menus in top nav are not being displayed on hover or click/tap, etc. This is happening in all browsers and devices I've checked. Logging in as admin or customer (haven't tested other roles) everything returns to normal. Very odd. Seems it may have begun after the 2nd to the last Salient update (installed the latest one after this problem was discovered just a short bit ago), but I can't be sure.
Any ideas... it seems the extent of the problems likely points to something theme related when it is affecting menu operations etc?
Could you share a screenshot of the error as you're seeing it from your end?
In the meantime, could you also please check for plugin conflicts by deactivating the third-party plugins and then reactivating them back one by one to see the one that causes issues?
Not possible to send screenshots as requested as there are no error messages, just missing content and non-functional features. However, in checking plugins I have now discovered that the culprit is our CleanTalk Anti-Spam plugin. The latest version 6.14 caused the issue, so rolling it back to v6.13 and disabling auto-updates solved it for now. I have reported it to CleanTalk support and there are other parties reporting the same problem with v6.14, so I'm sure they'll get it fixed with an update here soon.
Try turning off all Site Optimization or CDN features in the WP Dashboard and check as these options are disabled when logged in and the reason you are seeing these issues when logged out.
I don't use CDN, and the only Site Optimization features I can find are related to my hosting package plugin with Siteground, the SG Optimizer'. The CleanTalk Anti-Spam devs have come up with a fix and released it via GitHub for immediate use. However, rolling all the sites I have using CleanTalk Anti-Spam back to v6.13 while waiting for them to roll out the fix through the normal WP update process has cleared the issues perfectly with not too much time involvement.
