Having a minor issue with my Salient-powered website, unsure when precisely it started, so difficult to know specifically what has caused it. As you can see from Capture1, all my social icons have turned into boxes, along with 3 of my 4 web icons I'm using. More interestingly than that though, when logged into my WP-Admin backend, the icons all show up fine when on the website (Capture2) - once I log out, the problem re-appears. For added context, this is not impacted by browser type (tried multiple), nor device (tried desktop, tablet, and mobile).
My only recent plugin addition is FileBird Lite, which admittedly I have not tried to disable but would like to avoid having to do so if possible as I'm not sure how that might undo a lot of media organizing I completed (what this plugin serves as).
Any thoughts anybody? Anyone run into a similar issue recently?
Sure enough - that did it! I also went through a WP-Optimize tutorial to do a basic set up of that.
This begs the question RE Siteground plugins - (i) are they possibly doubling up on certain efforts of my existing plugins and as such potentially creating conflicts? For example, Siteground Security is possibly doing work that iThemes is already doing, and (ii) what specifically from Siteground Optimizer was the likely culprit from your perspective? Any thoughts or opinions?
In any case, thanks for quick feedback and working solution!
Yes, probably you have multiple plugins doing the same job causing a conflict.
Try and compare the functionality of both classes of plugins that is WP-Optimize Vs Siteground Optimizer and siteground Security Vs iThemes Security, pick one of each or if you are to run both try to split the jobs among the plugins so two do not perform the same task.
Hope this opinions helps with your decision making
