Hi there, i have found a bit of a random issue which i am trying to fix....

I have spent the past couple of days trying to improve on my websites speed, the part i am stuck on and cant seem to find a solution hunting in forums etc is; on Google pagespeed i am getting low scores due to needing to "Optimize images".

Now i have run all images through Smush. It and gone through and resized and compressed all that i can. But the part i am stuck on is the featured images from the portfolio which i have a small section on the homepage

there are a fair amount of these on the results and from looking on GTMetrix results its telling me i need to resize these to 256x172. As they are displayed at this size on the webpage

As the 600x403 image is auto generated upon upload i cant seem to find a way to edit this on the wordpress dashboard. I have tried resizing and replacing via FTP but it didnt seem to change anything

Is there a way to achieve this?

Hey Scott, I don't currently see that image displayed on your home page but I assume it's related to the recent posts element which is using the portfolio image size as well. If you'd like to alter that you can do so in the shortcode-processing.php file which is located in the nectar/tinymce directory - The portfolio featured images need to be served in that size because they can display up to that big depending on the screen size your site is viewed on
