    My menu items include "more items" and "purchase" how to remove these. I can't (don't see them)  in the WP dashboard Appearance > Menu Items

    Please check the other Menu Locations as they are set in there. See screenshot:

    You can edit this in the Appearance > Menus and edit the pull-right menu.

    Tahir and Andrew, the combination of your two suggestions did the trick.  Now I'm trying to remove the author name and date that appears under my blog post titles.

    You can remove this in the Salient > Blog > Post Meta and disable this from there.

    the bottom of the blog post has big black box with Subscribe.... and salient mag

    Hello again,

    Thank you for getting back to us.

    This is the global section that is set to show as the footer for the Salient Mag Demo. You can remove it by going to Global Sections > Edit the Salient Mag footer then remove the display locations shown in this screenshot.

    I didn't see those options , I see the note that somethings been changed so I opened  the blog post to see if I saw any way to remove it there to no avail
