I just purchased the theme and am looking forward to applying it toward my existing blog.
One of the aspects I liked best was the portfolio element shown in the Ascend demo -> Images with a title and date overlay that includes a mouse based paralax animation.
So far I have only been able to get this to work with an actual portfolio. What I would like to do is create a row with three images that link to different aspects of my site (one to a photography landing page for portfolios and photo essays, one linking to the blog landing page and one to a landing page for travel resources).
Is this possible? This was the primary motivation for me purchasing the theme and I've come up with a backup plan but this (or something as close to this as possible) would be ideal.
If I'm not making any sense, let me know. I'm currently playing with it on a staging site but can send over a link once I'm live with plan B.
Yes you can link a portfolio item to a custom url using the "External Project URl" available when you edit the portfolio item. See screenshot: http://prntscr.com/5scoyr .
