My site speed is slow. My hosting company, Inmotion, suggested that I update the Salient theme. I paid a web designer to create my website using Salient, years ago. Now I am trying to update the Salient, the web designer has since retired and never gave me any purchase information. So, I purchased Salient today. I followed instructions on updating the theme posted on the Themenectar website. However, when I tried uploading it, I got multiple errors - such as: script not found. What should I do? The original theme that the web designer provided is still what I am using for my website.
Please update to the Latest Salient Theme Version.
The current version of the theme is 16.1.2 and the current version of the page builder is 6.7.1 . Salient versions older than v11 won't be compatible with WordPress 5.5.

Note that "Visual Composer" also renamed their plugin on Envato to "WPbakery page builder" a couple of years back.
