Yes, removing it will break your site however you can update to the Latest Salient Theme Version to fix it.
The current version of the theme is 16.1.2 and the current version of the page builder is 6.7.1 . Salient versions older than v11 won't be compatible with WordPress 5.5.
Here's the documentation on the available methods for updating Salient: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/#methods Once you've updated that, the update for the included page builder will become available. Note that "Visual Composer" also renamed their plugin on Envato to "WPbakery page builder" a couple of years back.

I just had a look via the Browser Source Code and you seem to be using the Nitro Optimization plugin with CDN enabled. However the Theme version is not really old so an update should not cause major issues.

Once you have the Envato Market API correctly set you should be able to update/install the theme via the Plugin menu. See screenshot:

Hi again, it says - "Your OAuth Personal Token has been verified. However, there are no WordPress downloadable items in your account"
Be sure to add the Token from the Themeforest Account that purchased the Salient Theme. If you cant access it you would need to buy a new license.

Do I need to buy the theme from Salient? My site uses Salient Child theme.
Ok thanks, yeah a developer built my site & I can't access their token. I will buy the theme. Does it affect the Salient Child Theme they used?

1. Yes, you can use it however after the update, you will have the purge the cache via the plugin and CDN both.
2. You only have to update the Salient Theme to get the latest files.
