You will first need to set your blog archive page to have a sidebar in the Salient > Blog > General Settings.

To add content to your sidebar, from your wp-admin dashboard, you need to access the Appearance > Widgets option and add content to your blog sidebar.

1. From the screenshot you shared, I can see that you have already set your blog to have a side bar. Here's a screenshot of the same.
