    Hi,

We use the Salient theme to our great satisfaction. We use it on our company website running on https. However, on the blog page we have some minor https errors regarding the facebook/pinterest etc. share buttons. My colleague found out that this issue is fixed in the new 5.0 version of Salient. Is this true? Furthermore: is it possible to customize this share widget, for example to use LinkedIn share instead of Pinterest?

If so, how can we update and what does it cost? Do we need to update Wordpress as well to 4.1 (currently we have 4.0.1)?

    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

    Dear Tahir,

Thank you for your quick reply. I checked the link you posted, but some of my question were left unanswered.

There is no option for updating the theme inside our WP dashboard. Do we have to buy the theme once again just to update from 4.5 to 5.0?

    Hey Chris!

To fix https issues try using this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ssl-insecure-content... .

As regards the LinkedIn option that is not possible without custom work.

You dont have to buy the theme again you can update your theme by downloading a fresh copy from ThemeForest, deleting the current version you have on your server and uploading the new.

It's recommended that you use FTP, but this also can be done with the WP dashboard if you prefer. The reason FTP is superior for this is because the theme won't have to be deactivated during the process so you won't have to reassign your widgets. If you're
interested in keeping up to date with the latest changes and fixes, please refer to the changelog: http://themenectar.com/changelogs/salient.html
Also, remember to clear your browser cache after each update if you notice anything off. Old theme files can persist in your local cache and make you think something's wrong.
