While Salient does not currently provide the ability to create custom templates for CPT single templates, this feature will eventually become available through the new Global Sections functionality, which we've been building up over the past year: https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/page-builder-global-sections/
Currently, Global Sections offer a way to hook into specific areas and display content from the page builder conditionally. While you can use CPT conditionals for this purpose already, there's no option to start with a blank slate and fully take over the display / insert dynamic content from your CPT yet.
