Somehow I changed a parameter which makes them appear horizontally at the foot of the screen.
I would like to reset the menu at the right side and vertical.

Try changing the layout of your Off Canvas menu in the Salient > Header Navigation > Off Canvas Menu. Here's a screenshot of the same.
