How can I control the portfolio image thumbnails overlay color and text styling, either using the salient theme interface or in html/css/js code??
Or even better, I would appreciate if your could tell me both ways.
For some reason, when inspecting the div/img elements with Chrome dev tool I can’t seem to isolate the hover state.
Usually, for example, in dev tools, I could highlight the element with class="work-info-bgâ€, and select the ‘hover’ state radio button, and view the associated CSS and HTML.
Why doesn’t that technique work in this situation?

The overlay color can be controlled in the project attributes box on every project edit screen and the text styling can be controlled in the typography options tab in the Salient options panel via the h3 field
