I test my website on Desktop and on a slow wifi on purpose. I use the Nectar Slider with video (4 slides, 4 video WebM & Mp4, between 5 and 10 MB each in 720p) and while the homepage is loading the Nectar Slider is all black for around 20sec to 30sec, passing black slides with just text.... its long....
Could it show the Preview Image instead, like it does on mobile?
Please check whether lazy loading is turned on from the performance section then turn it off and also turn off any lazy loading plugin and see whether that helps.
