Hi, I have a client who sent me a video that is already cropped for mobile. Unfortunately, when I try loading this onto the site, on mobile it presents it with black letter boxing instead of using the cropped 9:16 dimensions.
We've had to revert back to normal video dimensions and then just hope that the mobile version crops the video correctly.
I'm wondering if you can show me a way to make it so that the video background we use on Mobile actually plays just in that format (i.e. 9:16).
I'm attaching a screenshot of one of the frames of the video they provided to us. We're hoping to find a way to make this video work the way they cropped it.

Is that possible?

Hi Ben,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Try changing the aspect ratio of the video to 9:16 in the salient Self Hosted Video element and see if this resolves the issue for you.
Try this and let us know how it goes for you.
Kind regards,
