Hello! i am adding an educational materials section to my site, which are youtube links.

However, I noticed that the display of the links in the blog is VERY different from the display of the regular articles.
in fact, i would like the photo to be put on the left side, while on the right side i would like categories, title and excerpts to be displayed, like for other types of posts.

I do not understand this display dissimilarity and especially the lack of the title.
please help me, this is not the first time this difference has caused me problems with development, and I really don't understand the functionality of having them so much different from the rest of the posts.

    Thank you!

    Have a nice day

    Hey Again,

The Video Posts use a different template to render the Posts which is why its different from the Regular Posts.

If you wish to alter the layout this would have to be done via PHP template level edits in a child theme .

    Thanks.

    hi tahir,

    thank you for tour response.

can I ask you why I can't choose how to make my post appear? I find this solution a bit confusing and I don't really understand why, and it really complicates the development of a site that I'm doing, as it requires additional development that I didn't anticipate

    thank you

    Hey Again,

Could you provide page urls of both the posts that you are referring to so we can better understand the issue and respond accordingly.

    Thanks.

    Hey Again,

That styling is dependent on the Format being selected for that particular post, if you wish to use the "standard" for each you can do so by selecting it in the metabox here and adding the content via the page builder.

Another option would be to customize the Post templates via a Child Theme.

    Thanks

    Hey Co-Brains,

The post loop builder will allow posts set to use the Link format to behave as direct links (bypassing the single post) if the post contains no content in the editor. i.e. Only a title and link are supplied in the post.

You can still display an excerpt for link posts if desired by utilizing the excerpt field.

    Kind regards

    Hey Co-Brains,

Can you confirm that your Post loop builder is set to query from "Blog Posts" and not "Custom"?

If so, since I can't replicate the same issue locally when the post content is empty, can you kindly provide a temporary admin account so that I can take a closer look?

    Kind regards

    Hey Co-Brains!

I just took a look at the backend and saw that there was content in each post, but only visible when switching into the code view:

I remove that in each post and the links are working as expected nowsmile.png
