I need some assistance. I created a custom login/register form thatsa pop up. I want the pop up to trigger when they click the account button in my menu. Where can i go to edit that?
You can use this plugin as we use it in one of our demos and you can use the Page Builder to create the popup content as well: https://wordpress.org/plugins/popup-maker/.
Also, be sure to turn on the Page Builder for the Popups here:

so Im trying to make it when they click my account button on the top of my site it opens the pop.

Try Following the instructions on the pop up plugin to add the link to your login button. You can add it here.
If that does not work, you can add the button as a pull right menu item as shown in our guide https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/pull-right-nav-items/.
