    is there any way i can make the entire parent link clickable to expand and show its children links, rather than clicking on the arrow?

    You need to choose the option below from Off Canvas settings in the Salient theme options :

    thanks got it! perhaps you guys can consider adding back the arrow for this option dropdown toggle as well.
