Unfortunately, the theme does not come with this feature out of the box. This would require some extensive customization which I'm afraid we are not able to offer due to support scope limitations.
However, we are partnered with a trusted provider of expert-level Salient customization. If you are interested in initiating a project, we recommend referring to our guide at the following link: https://themenectar.com/salient/customization/.
Alternatively, you can try looking for a third plugin that can help you achieve this.
1. You can add the search functionality in the Salient > Header navigation > Header Search. Please note that this will add a search icon and not the search bar. The theme does not come with this feature out of the box for the header.
2. As for the screenshot you shared, this is the default WordPress search widget. You can add this by navigating to Appearance > Widgets. Unfortunately, this functionality can not be added to any other section of the site other than the sidebar. You can add this sidebar to your blog pages in the Salient > Blog settings.
You can also add a sidebar to your pages in the templates section as in this screenshot. You would have to do this for each page, then add the search functionality to the Page Sidebar widget.
Since this is a third party plugin, I'd recommend reaching out to the relevanssi team as they are in a better position to assist with the customizations you need.
Add this into the Custom CSS box in your Salient Theme Options panel (We write all Custom CSS in the Live Browser to ensure accuracy. If you cannot see any changes, make sure there is no red cross in the Custom CSS Box as any syntax error would cause all CSS under that line of code to not show up on the Frontend):
I am afraid this is not possible by using the default Salient Theme Features and would require some extensive customization which I'm afraid we are not able to offer due to support scope limitations.
