    Hi,

I'm having trouble getting the transparent header effect to do what I want it to do.

I'd like it to be transparent when the pages first loads but then become opaque when the user scrolls. At the moment it's the opposite (transparent on scrolling).

    Help!?

(Note: It might take a minute for you to register that the header is opaque upon opening the demo URL because I'm using the organic gradient animation effect... )

    Hi,

Kindly check whether the Header Permanent Transparent is toggled on at Salient> Header Navigation> Transparent Header Effect. If toggled on, try turning it off and refreshing your page.

Kindly try this and let me know how it goes.

    Regards,

    Hi Noah,

Nope - it hasn't been toggled on. Just to be sure, i toggled it ON (save changes) then OFF again (save changes). Refreshing page in between. Still no change.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing back.

You need to turn on Header Transparency but turn off Header Permanent Transparency as shown here : https://monosnap.com/file/ZEP3WGzErp4xQbrCODw9JLwCiq68wq

I really hope this proves helpful for you. If you have any more questions or run into any problems, please feel free to reach out.

    Best regards,

    Hi,
Header Transparency is on and  Header Permanent Transparency is off. Confirming that is how I have it set.

    Hey Again,

Try using the Force Transparency Option in "Page Header Settings" Metabox . See screenshot : http://prntscr.com/gjnyit .

    Hi Tahir,

When I turn on the Force Transparency Option in "Page Header Settings" the header is transparent, but i am trying to make the header SOLID upon scrolling, and this option doesn't fix that. It begins as transparent and remains so with scrolling.

    Hey Again,

You need to turn off "Permanent Transparent Header" Option if you want it to not remain transparent after scroll.

Also try adjusting the "Animation Effects" in the Salient Theme Options Panel : https://prnt.sc/E-ZB6xrNvBVV

    Thanks.

I have the transparent header effect enabled in the side menu (Salient > Header Navigation > Transparent Header Effect) and also activated on my individual pages (Force Transparency On Navigation). However, the effect is not displaying on any page. Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Thanks!

    Hey Again,

You’ll need to use a filter in your child theme to remove default functionality that prevents the transparent header effect when Yoast breadcrumbs are enabled: https://pastebin.com/bGSxyuNE or alternatively, you can disable the breadcrumb option from within the Yoast settings.

    Thanks.
