Last Friday we updated our plugins and themes. Salient was updated from 16.3.1 to version 16.4.0. Our Yoast SEO plugin was updated from version 23.1 to version 23.4. Our Wordpress was already up-to-date (version 6.6.1).
This morning our marketing team noticed that the Yoast plugin could no longer analyze our blog content. The SEO Analysis section says the text length is 0 words (even though it is over 1500) and it is not registering any internal or outbound links (which there are many).
Looking into this, I deactivated all plugins and switched over to the 2024 Wordpress Theme. I activated the Yoast plugin only, and it was able to analyze our content correctly. It no longer said our text length was 0 words.
I then switched to the Salient theme and activated only the necessary Salient Core plugins. When I go back to a post, Yoast can no longer access and analyze the post content.
I have no other plugins active and the ability of Yoast to analyzing the blog content is directly affected by the Salient theme.
I also was able to download the previous working version of the Yoast plugin from their Github site. Downgrading Yoast to version 23.1 (which had been working for us) did not fix the problem when it was paired with the Salient 16.4.0 update.
I noticed in the recent changelog for 16.4.0 that you "Added Better integration with Yoast SEO analysis and WPBakery page content," but it seems like something broke in that process.
Please help. Is there a way to revert back to the previous version of Salient so that our marketing team can do what they need to do? Thank you.
