This website is a public library district so their accessibility requirements are quite strict. I have been using your portfolio element at the top of the home page for years, but it is not meeting their accessibility standard due to the fact that the links (I am using the "external link" functionality) are missing text. They show up as empty links.
I really appreciate all the accessibility additions you have done to make it possible for us to add screen reader text to elements, etc. But in this case I don't see a way to add screen reader text to those links. I attempted to add an aria label through editing the salient-portfolio.js file, but that does not seem to work.
Can you help me? I do have a child theme if needed.

Hello Christy,
Thanks for sharing your concerns about accessibility with us.
Please allow me to escalate this to the developer to assist even further.
I appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.
Best Regards.
Hey Again,
Try using the new "Post Loop Builder" Page element instead of "Portfolio" and check.
Let me know if this helps! Happy to assist further if needed.
Best,
