I created a Page called Blog (/blog) and built it to display the blog posts along with some header content and footer content. If I go to WordPress Settings > Reading and set the Posts Page to Blog, the /blog page no longer displays any of my page content, it just displays the default blog post content.
Is it possible to build a page that will display blog content, AND set it as the Posts page in Settings > Reading? One of the reasons why I want to set the Posts page is so I can get menu navigation to indicate Blog as the current page when I'm on a post or category page.
I think I figured it out Tahir. Looks like if you assign a page to be the main Blog posts page, you cannot also build content in that page, correct? I was trying to do that and could only get it to work if I left the Settings > Reading > Posts page blank, which meant I lost the current-page styling in the navigation. My solution was to just assign the Posts page, and forego the page content.

Hey jeffl55 ,
Thanks for reaching out! .
I can view the Blog menu already highlighted on the Single Post Page:
Do you wish to include the "/blog" in the Permalinks ?.
Thanks
