I am encountering an issue related to the theme's integration with the WPBakery plugin, which appears to include a custom script element in the frontend HTML source code as follows:
While this non-standard type="text/html" setting does not typically cause issues, it poses challenges when used in conjunction with caching or static site generation plugins, such as Simply Static. These tools can misinterpret or alter this script, resulting in errors on the site.
To avoid these issues and to ensure compatibility with a broader range of caching and static site plugins, could you consider modifying this script element to comply with standard HTML practices in future theme updates? This would save me from having to manually adjust the code after each update.
Additionally, if possible, could you clarify the specific function of this line in the theme's frontend output? Understanding its purpose may help me address or troubleshoot any related issues more effectively.
Thank you very much for your assistance and for considering this update in future releases.
Salient uses the Salient WPBakery plugin which is bundled with the theme. Please let us know whether you are referring to the Salient WPBakery plugin or the native WPBakery plugin: https://wpbakery.com/

I am forwarding this to the developer to be able to assist and as well further respond to your query.
The output of that script attribute is a core feature of WPBakery Page Builder and not something we’ve modified in Salient. I’ll forward this issue to the plugin’s developers, but you could also leave a comment on their page to add additional weight to your concern. https://codecanyon.net/item/wpbakery-page-builder-for-wordpress/242431/comments
I left a comment there, but as we didn't purchase that plugin, I don't know if they will read it or work on it.
Can't you change that line manually in your updates? As that really is causing trouble. I didn't find any proof that it's even needed in the front-end either. Deleted it, nothing changed and I couldn't find the variable in any other file within Salient or the plugin.
Unfortunately, they haven’t commented on this yet. Because of that, I’ve added it as an item for us to look into more deeply and potentially modify from our side.

Hi Judith,
we only use the "Salient WPBakery plugin" that comes with the theme. That's why I was opening that ticket here.

I already found the file where the line is echoed:
/js_composer_salient/include/classes/core/class-vc-modification.php
Probably that will help …
Hi there,
Thanks for writing back.
We will compile this as well while sharing it with the developer.
Thanks for pointing it out.

So that's the answer. We actually purchased WPBakery some time ago, but we don't have active support at the moment.
Could you offer the information to them if you not already have? We really would love to see a fix for that.

Hi!
So did you already implement a fix in 17.0.5?
Best,
Roland
Hey Roland,
It will be included in the next release of the Salient WPBakery Page Builder plugin, which is due out next week :)
Kind regards
