Unfortunately, this is bound to happen since we use a custom plugin and the original plugin does not recognize these customizations. The current version of the Salient WPBakery plugin is v7.8.1.
I will send a request to the developer to consider updating the plugin to match the features in WPBakery v8.0 in future updates. In the meantime, I recommend reactivating the salient plugin so your site does not break.
I updated wo the WP Bakery 8.0 that my marketing team need for tracking enhancements, and the update crashed my site

Yes that is correct. So I purchsed the latest from WP bakery but it casues the site to crash.

Unfortunately, you can not update the plugin that comes bundled with the theme as it is a customized version of the original WPBakery plugin.
You will need to deactivate one of the plugins as both plugins can not run simultaneously.
