Good afternoon. I want to make a simple slider in a post with a few photos. I need to post several galleries. I used to use third-party plugins for this, but I see that Salient has its own tools for this. However, I don't understand how to do this. I didn't find an answer in the documentation.
For example, Image Carousel or Basic Slider Style. But I don't understand how to set it up. I also want to clarify if there is a built-in lightbox in the theme.
Please explain to me how to do this, or at least give me a link to the guide.
So you can insert a gallery only using WPBakery? Can I insert a gallery into posts in a regular editor? There's a toggle switch down there, isn't that what it's for?
Yes, you can insert the gallery in your posts as long as you have enabled the page builder for your blogs. You can activate the page builder in the WPBakery Page Builder Settings > Role Manager.
I'm not asking about how to make a slider with posts in WPBakery. I need to insert a gallery with the ability to scroll through images directly into a single post without having to use third-party plugins. The example is in the attachment.
To clarify, I meant that you can activate the page builder elements in your blog page and you can use the page builder to create your posts.
As for the Image Gallery element, you can change between the various slider options in the Image Gallery Element settings as you can see in this screenshot and see the one that works for you.
Alternatively, you can use the Carousel Element and add Single Image elements in the carousel to create a gallery.
I understand that in WPBakery I can insert a gallery and switch display options. That's still not the question. I'm asking why there is a switch at the bottom of the post editor (not WPBakery) with the ability to automatically transform media into a slider. How does this switch work? I'm attaching a video to make it clear what it's about. Please take a look at it.
Unfortunately, our theme does not come with this feature out of the box. You will have to use a third party plugin or customize the theme files to achieve this.
Well, that explains a lot. Sorry, I started dealing with WP just week ago. Save your tolerance. I deleted all the plugins, but these options are still there.
In that case, I will ask one more question. From our dialogue, did I understand correctly that Salient does not have built-in tools for quickly creating galleries and lightboxes in single posts without using WPBakery?

Hi again,
Thank you for getting back to us.
Yes, you can insert the gallery in your posts as long as you have enabled the page builder for your blogs. You can activate the page builder in the WPBakery Page Builder Settings > Role Manager.
If you want to use the carousel, you can import one of the prebuilt salient carousels and customize it from there https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/salient-studio/.
Try this and let us know how it goes.
Regards,
Thanks, I get that. But I still don't understand what the switch at the bottom of the editor is for?

I finally found out that this interface belongs to WPBakery
